Contingency Care Planning for Pet Cats
As the number of Covid-19 cases continues to rise in Singapore, we are opening up a registration list for cat owners who would like to make plans for their cats, in the event they, or their family unit, may fall ill and be unable to care for their pet. The Nekoya Cat Hotel stands ready to assist affected owners and assume care for their cats until they have recovered from ill health and are able to return home safely.
Things to Note:
- Registering with us will not require payments or deposits. It simply allows us to have your particulars on hand should our services be required urgently.
- This initiative is free, and services shall begin at the time if and when you require your cat checked in.
- Your cat will have to be free of parasites and in good health to board at our facility.
If you would like to indicate your interest in this program, you may access the form here and provide us with simple information about yourself, your cat(s) and a responsible party whom we can contact to facilitate the transfer of your pet cat to a Nekoya Cat Hotel.
If your cat should not comply with our boarding guidelines, there is a possibility we may not be able to care for them for the safety of other guests. Payment can be made to us digitally, at the point of check-in.

Assistance for Affected Individuals
If someone you know has been taken ill by Covid-19, is serving a quarantine notice, unable to enter or return to Singapore (and you are aware that they have a cat), has a cat that requires medical attention, or in general may be unable to care for their pet in this time, we will waive additional fees for housekeeping or medicine administration and they will not apply during this time.
Assistance for Abandoned Pets
As the Covid-19 situation grows more dire and as jobs may be lost, we are astutely aware of the possibility that some individuals may have no choice but to re-home their pets due to financial strain. We encourage families to consider making their pets a part of their Covid-19 planning. Animal welfare groups, fosterers and rescuers are experiencing a significant toll on their limited resources. If it should not be possible to continue caring for your cat, please contact us privately to see if your cat may be eligible for lodging and are at Nekoya under our Angel Program.
